Catherine is an avid sports fan, rugby being her sport of choice since a child watching All Blacks and provincial games with her father and brothers. She supports several charities, including the Support our Kids which supports young children from the affected areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake, taking them to homestays in Catherine’s home town and other activities.
Daughter of an Aussie mum and Kiwi dad, Catherine is an active Vice Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ) proudly flying the NZ flag, as well as a good friend of the New Zealand Embassy in Tokyo. She’s a member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ) and was nominated for BCCJ’s Business Awards Entrepreneur of the Year Award and is also the Vice Chair of the Legal Services Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
She’s a regulatory member of The New Zealand Law Society (New Zealand), Solicitors Regulation Authority (England & Wales), and Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association (Japan).
Being so active in and passionate about the thriving legal and professional business community in Tokyo, Catherine leads a glamorous life and loves a photo op! She's a natural connector and enjoys broadening her network and bringing people together.

Catherine attended the Japan screening of My Year With Helen, a documentary about the Rt Honourable Helen Clark’s bid for the head of the United Nations. The premiere was followed by a Q&A session and a discussion about Ms Clark’s political career and future plans.
Helen Clark is a Former New Zealand Prime Minister and UNDP Administrator.
